Frequently Asked Questions
What is Socratic Dialogue?
It is a collaborative learning method where through systematic dialogue, premises are examined, questions are raised, and kids are helped to reflect upon what they say and think. This fosters a spirit of inquiry and self-reflection on the subject matter in discussion. Originally modeled by Socrates, today is our best educational method to spark curiosity in a generation of kids facing the biggest thread on Free Speech in America.

Who facilitates the dialogues?
Dialogues are facilitated by a 21st Century Socratic Teacher trained in one of the most conservative universities in the world known to be "an Island of Economic Sanity in in a Sea of Socialism."
How much reading would my child have to do?
Kids are not required to read entire books. Instead, they are given short excerpts that spark dialogue and inquiry that are read during the scheduled hours and last no longer than 10-15 minutes of reading. Context for each text is quickly explained before it is given to them. So your kids do not have to worry about getting extra homework! Of course, if kiddos want to do more reading, we highly encourage this.
Is this a religious group?
It is not a religious group but per our US Constitution, we respect and honor all religious backgrounds. Nevertheless, we also do not deny the Judeo-Christian influence of America's founding ideals and documents as the Left is trying to cancel.
Are all opinions respected?
Yes, all opinions are respected honoring our First Amendment. Nevertheless, all opinions are subject to testing, inquiry and evidence. The Socratic Method allows for respectful disagreement and this ultimately leads to growth.
Is my child required to participate all the time?
Not always. Socratic Dialogue has different roles, including that of active listener so there might be a day when he/she choses that. Nevertheless, this process is so powerful for triggering deep thoughts and questions that a child rarely wants to remain silent for a whole session. Silence in a Socratic Dialogue is okay, even healthy, to allow for reflection and pondering.
Is my child required to participate every week?
In order to ensure consistency and to save their spot, they should join every week. If they miss a session, they will not get it refunded. Tuition is paid monthly. No refunds are issued once a month is paid.
How is the weekly text and question selected?
We follow the order of the program outlined on this website but remain flexible and open should a group's curiosity lead us in a different road to get to the same growth destination.
